This holiday season, let your loved ones know you're thinking of them with a handwritten note and a Museum artwork. Each card in this set reproduces a detail from Antoniazzo Romano's (Antonio di Benedetto Aquilio) (Italian, 1435/40–1508) The Nativity (1480s), made about 1482, when a team of painters were decorating the walls of the Sistine Chapel. Particularly, it was the work of Perugino and Ghirlandaio that resonated with Antoniazzo, who sets his depiction in a landscape suggestive of Lazio, near Rome.
Please note that our holiday cards reproduce original works of art, some of which include visual artifacts and imperfections.
