About the Artist
Melissa Lowery is a self-taught jewelry artist working mostly with metals, specializing in base metal etching, stamping, and homemade patinas. Reduce, reuse and recycle…..is her inspiration! She likes to incorporate vintage, up-cycled materials, reclaimed metals and organic materials such as repurposed leather, wood, and natural fibers into her work. She also uses a homemade patina recipe to add unique colors and diversity to her work—these recipes are free of harsh chemicals and are eco-friendly.
